The program is based on the Color Accounting™ learning method, an intuitive and visual approach to finance that makes learning accessible, relatable and engaging. 

It's a proven and effective learning method that's used in top-100 law firms, international banks, and global companies. It has also been adopted by leading universities worldwide. It's different from other methods.

INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM

The Facilitator Development Program consists of:
  • An experience course (Let's Talk Finance), which you would attend before the Facilitator Development Workshop.
  • The Facilitator Development Workshop consisting of four live sessions.
  • A practice course, facilitated by you.
  • A debrief with your Master Facilitator after the practice course.
Once you've successfully completed the foundation accreditation program you'll be licensed by Wealthvox to facilitate the Let's Talk Finance course.

Program overview

1. Let's Talk Finance experience course (8 hours - Online, Zoom)

Attend Let's Talk Finance to experience the course and Color Accounting firsthand. Let's Talk Finance is an introductory finance course that delivers financial literacy and builds business acumen. It reveals how accounting, finance, and business interact. 

2. Facilitator Development Workshop (10 hours - Online, Zoom)

After attending the Let's Talk Finance course you attend the Facilitator Development Workshop. The workshop consists of 4 live sessions of 2.5 hours each. 
  • Conversation 0 - Ways of being and Let's Talk Finance course overview (2.5 hours): The first hour of the session is taken up with Ways of Being – an exploration of who we want to be as facilitators. We then do a high-level walkthrough of the Let's Talk Finance course as you experienced it as a participant.
  • Conversation 1 - The balance sheet (2.5 hours): Using the Read-and-Lead process we discover how to facilitate the balance sheet as outlined in the Facilitator Guide. The step-by-step process is comprehensive and does away with any need for memorization.
  • Conversation 2 - The income statement (2.5 hours): In the same manner using the Read-and-Lead process, we discover how to facilitate the income statement and BaSIS Board™.
  • Conversation 3 - Accounting for business scenarios (2.5 hours): We walk through the delivery of the classic transactions using the popup BaSIS Board™, linking the various support pages in the workbook to particular transactions.

3. Post WORKSHOP: Practice COURSE (8 hours)

  • Within 6 weeks of finishing the Facilitator Development Workshop, deliver your first practice course to a small group of friends or family.
  • In preparation for the course you can use the online resource library and The Joy of Accounting book.
  • You're welcome to film all or part of this course to share with your Master Facilitator. 

Debrief conversation:Meet with your Master Facilitator (0.5 hours)

  • Meet with your Master Facilitator to discuss your course delivery. 
  • Together you'll review your performance and highlight areas for ongoing growth. 
  • You may need to do an additional practice course. Otherwise you'll be accredited immediately and signed up as a Wealthvox Facilitator.
  • The 6-week deadline for completing the practice course and debrief may be extended on request, to a maximum of 3 months.

Peter Frampton | Wealthvox CEO

Peter is a financial literacy advocate and co-founder and Chairman of Wealthvox.  Peter obtained his bachelors degree in 1986 at the University of Cape Town. After additional studies at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology, Sydney Australia, he obtained his professional certification from Chartered Accounts Australia New Zealand in 1991, later advancing to Fellowship.  For the last two decades he has focused on financial education.

Adam Wilkinson | Wealthvox Head of Learning

Adam qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999 and has 24 years of experience in business. Adam worked 8 years for the EMI Group Plc, where he was involved in de-listing the company and selling it to private equity in 2007, and has held 4 Finance Director roles in the music and media industries. He has been running Wealthvox Color Accounting courses since 2013 and has clients in a wide range of industries including law, media, finance and music. Adam regularly delivers around 100 workshops per year across Europe, the USA and Asia.
